Responsibilities / Tasks
GEA Group, located in York, PA, is looking for a Workshop Team Lead to join our Production Team. As directed by department managers, the incumbent leads production personnel, plans and assigns work, monitors company policies, safety standards and housekeeping practices. He/she monitors employee performance & suggests development and as directed implements job related training.
This role is to lead our 2nd Shift team and has a schedule of Monday - Thursday from 3:30pm - 2:30am.
Responsibilities:
Leads adherence to Employee Health and Safety policies.
Leads, supports and directs all production personnel to ensure a quality product is delivered on time and within budget.
Coaches and provides expertise to resolve issues and ensures corrective action is implemented.
Monitors the daily tasks of production employees and delegates daily work assignments.
Improves proficiencies in standard assembly & weld practices within the department to meet or exceed efficiencies, schedules and quality.
Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Monitors employees’ performance, development.
Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Supports all continuous improvement and 6S standards
Implements job related training as directed by management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Profile / Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred
Has vocational management certificate or 3+ years of related Workshop Leadership experience
Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly practices
Lean training/ certification preferred
Ability to train and develop others.
Basic math skills
Comprehension of safety rules
Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Willingness to work extended hours when required to support customer satisfaction.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $40.00 - $43.85 per hour, plus $3.00 shift differential for 2nd shift GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
