Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor VMC/HMC/Turnmill/VTL machine with angular head and live spindle.

Load/unload workpieces safely using appropriate lifting tools.

Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per job requirements & do machining without deviation.

Interpret CNC programs and make new program independently from drawing on VTL machine for different variety of Jobs.

Ensure correct tool offsets and work offsets are applied & ensue fabricated job ovality compensation.

Verify program compatibility with machine specifications.

Inspect components using precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge).

Maintain dimensional accuracy as per drawing and tolerance.

Document inspection results and report deviations.

Perform daily machine checks (coolant level, lubrication, tool condition).

Report any mechanical or electrical issues to maintenance team.

Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Exposure of Batch or Job production industry environment not mass production machining.

Have good exposure to machined job in 5-10 microns with minimum setup for fabricated jobs too.
Skills & Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade.

Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in VTL operation.

Knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, or machine-specific).

Expert ability to read Engineering drawings and GD&T.

Excellent understanding of cutting parameters & inserts for turning and milling operations for SS, MS, Casting, fabricated parts machining.

Expert Knowledge of Programming on Fanuc control from drawing interpretations.

Expert in Live Spindle & Angular head working hands on experience in VTL Machine.
Additional Requirements:

Familiarity with live spindle operations for milling/drilling.

Experience in handling large components (up to 250 cm diameter).

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
