Job Description

Fenix Resources Ltd (ASX: FEX) is a fully integrated mining, logistics and port services business operating in Western Australia’s Mid-West. With a current production rate of over 4 million tonnes of iron ore per annum and a clear pathway to 10Mtpa, Fenix is building a long-term, sustainable operation.

Fenix is growing at Weld Range following the securing of a 290Mt high-grade iron ore resource, underpinning its move toward 10Mtpa and driving expanded mining and logistics activity across the region. Supported by strong global partners and a fully integrated mine-to-port network, Fenix is entering a new phase of growth, backed by a clear production plan and pipeline of development projects.

Roster: 7 Days, 7 Nights, 7 Off, 12-hours per shift - Home after every shift
Rate $73 per hour plus Superannuation + Bonuses

We are seeking a Leading Hand to support our Workshop Manager and Workshop Superintendent by providing leadership and supervision to a skilled team of technicians. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the workshop while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

You will manage MEX work orders, ensuring all maintenance activities are accurately recorded, assigned, tracked, and completed in a timely manner. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership position and is committed to operational excellence.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians, including mentoring and supporting development.
  • Maintain fleet equipment to manufacturers' specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring maximum availability.
  • Manage MEX work orders and maintenance tasks efficiently, from logging and scheduling to completion.
  • Prioritise and address critical repairs to minimise operational disruptions.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and actively manage incidents or hazards.
  • Collaborate with operations to align maintenance priorities and optimise fleet utilisation.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory data, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanical or equivalent.
  • C Class driver’s licence required; HR licence preferred.
  • Forklift licence and High-Risk Forklift certification preferred.
