Job Description
We are seeking a Creative Technologist, a hands-on designer-builder within J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions who builds the reusable standards, templates, and production practices that power the end-to-end participant lifecycle across email and digital communications, in-portal/in-app messaging, education journeys, and lead-generation microsites.
You will translate complex equity compensation and financial concepts into clear, engaging, compliant experiences, improving time-to-market and quality through accessibility, disciplined QA, and responsible experimentation. You will partner across Product, Engineering, Client Experience, and commercial teams to ensure lifecycle experiences connect seamlessly across channels and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Standards, Templates & Modular Systems
- Define and maintain reusable standards (components, patterns, and guidance) for lifecycle communications and experiences
- Build and evolve modular templates/assets reusable across campaigns, messaging, education, and microsite experiences
- Implement and continuously improve QA practices and repeatable production protocols to reduce defects and delivery risk
Lifecycle Experience Design
- Design and prototype lifecycle journeys that span communications, education, and lead generation
- Translate complex equity compensation and financial concepts into intuitive user journeys, content structures, and visual narratives
- Ensure lifecycle experiences are accessible, brand-consistent, and scalable across channels
Channel Execution in Approved Platforms (Email + In-Portal/In-App Messaging + Microsites)
- Own build/QA/release workflows for key lifecycle touchpoints using approved platforms (campaign build, approvals, QA, reporting)
- Partner with channel/platform owners to implement reusable modules for in-portal/in-app messaging
- Support microsite execution in a platform environment by building modular page patterns and assisting with lightweight scripting needs when applicable
Cross-Functional Delivery & Integration
- Partner with Product and Engineering from ideation through execution, aligning design intent to implementation constraints
- Ensure integration across systems (platform, reporting, communications tooling, APIs) so lifecycle experiences work cohesively end-to-end
Storytelling, Demos & GTM Enablement
- Create compelling prototypes, demos, and client-ready narratives for stakeholders, senior leadership, and external clients
- Support go-to-market efforts through pilots and presentations that communicate the experience and value proposition clearly
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Use user insights, behavioral data, and feedback to iterate templates, journeys, and messaging modules
- Stay current on trends in fintech, lifecycle engagement, and creative technology; promote a culture of innovation and design excellence
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience in a hybrid design + build role across lifecycle communications, digital comms, UX, or marketing technology
- Strong capability in email design and production, including practical proficiency with HTML/CSS for email (responsive patterns, cross-client considerations, troubleshooting and template modularity)
- Experience operating a communications delivery platform (campaign build, send, QA, approvals, reporting)
- Familiarity with component-based design approaches (tokens, modular systems, reusable patterns) and bridging design intent to implementation
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive, user-centered lifecycle journeys (communications, education, engagement)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, prototyping, and production execution; excellent stakeholder communication and executive-level storytelling
Preferred
- Experience in a regulated or brand-sensitive environment with precision, review cycles, and risk awareness
- Familiarity with equity compensation, wealth management, or employee financial engagement solutions
- Experience with in-portal/in-app messaging and cross-channel lifecycle orchestration
- Experience building microsites/landing experiences in platform environments, including modular page patterns and QA
- Basic JavaScript familiarity for lightweight platform customization, experimentation, or instrumentation (not full application development)
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate exploration and iteration (aligned to privacy/brand standards)
