Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
Responsibilities
Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)
- Implement and maintain Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) management systems at project sites.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe work practices or conditions.
- Prepare and submit safety reports, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and incident reports.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety orientation for workers.
- Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems and ensure proper safety documentation is maintained.
Environmental Control (ECO)
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and environmental control measures on site.
- Conduct regular environmental inspections relating to noise control, vector control, waste management, dust control, and housekeeping.
- Monitor environmental performance and recommend improvement measures.
- Prepare environmental reports and maintain proper records/documentation.
- Coordinate with authorities and project teams regarding environmental compliance matters.
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM Singapore.
- Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant construction site experience preferred.
- Familiar with Singapore WSH and environmental regulations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and manage site safety/environmental matters effectively.
