The Employee Relations team forms part of People and Culture within the Department of Health. The team provides specialist advice, consultancy and support to managers and Human Resources professionals across the Agency on a broad range of employee relations matters, including employment legislation, industrial awards and agreements, workplace investigations, complaint and grievance management, and policy development. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the Department, the team contributes to the delivery of a positive, safe and productive workplace culture that supports high-quality health services for the Tasmanian community
As a Workplace Relations Consultant (Employee Relations), you will provide high-level employee relations advice and consultancy services to managers and HR professionals across the Department of Health. The role is responsible for supporting the management of complex employee relations matters, including grievances, complaints, disciplinary processes, workplace investigations and industrial issues. You will contribute to the development of policies and procedures, undertake research and analysis on employment-related matters, prepare reports and submissions, liaise with key external agencies, and support the Department in achieving best practice employee relations outcomes.

fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing January 2027 until 31 December 2027.

$111,754 to $126,579 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
