Hearth is the AI growth system for America's home improvement contractors. With 15,000+ paying customers, default profitability, and backing from top-tier investors like Founders Fund and 8VC, we provide the revenue-critical software tradespeople rely on to run their businesses.

We are now building our next layer of innovation: an autonomous AI employee for every contractor. By answering calls 24/7, qualifying leads, and booking jobs, this AI ensures small businesses never miss a lead again. We're on a mission to bring AI to the trades—and we need your help to build it.

The Opportunity

You will own how Hearth's NYC office looks, feels, and runs, and you will run the projects that make it more than just a place to sit. You are the first face people see, whether that is a new hire, an investor, or the CEO. You keep the space sharp and stocked, you manage the vendors who fix things when they break, and you take events and one-off projects from a blank page to done. As the New York team grows, you will shape how the space evolves to keep up. If you want to set the tone for what it feels like to be at Hearth, this is your role.

What You'll Do:

• Own the office day to day so the space is always sharp, stocked, and ready, from supplies to the overall feel of the place.
• Find, vet, and manage vendors for repairs and upkeep, and negotiate a fair price.
• Run events from start to finish, including happy hours, team off-sites, covering food, space, and logistics.
• Own standalone projects from a blank page to approval-ready, such as our 10-year anniversary celebration, by researching options and costs and bringing a couple of directions for a fast decision.
• Be the first and most welcoming point of contact for everyone who walks in, from new hires to investors.
• Coordinate logistics for visiting team members and guests, including travel, hotel room blocks, and getting the office ready for them.
• Help the team navigate a growing footprint, including desk and space planning as more people join.
• Keep the kitchen and supplies stocked, which is a visible part of keeping the space ready.

Who You Are:

1. You have managed an office or workplace, or run front of house in hospitality, and you know how to make things feel effortless for everyone else.
2. You already have people you can call, like a painter, an electrician, or someone who fixes doors, and you know how to get quality work done fast.
3. You do not wait to be told what comes next. When you are handed a vague goal and a budget, you come back with a plan rather than a list of questions.
4. You stay organized and calm when you are pulled in five directions at once.

What We're Not Looking For:

This is not the right role if you need clear direction before you act, get thrown off when priorities shift quickly, or expect someone else to handle the parts of the job that are not glamorous. This is hands-on ownership of the workplace itself, not an executive assistant or calendar management role.

Location:

This role will be located in NYC along with the rest of the Hearth team, the CEO, and other key roles in the business. Hearth believes in the energy, connection, and serendipity of in-person work culture (5 days/week) for builders who are committed to building truly innovative software and making a significant positive impact in the world.
