Working Student with Power BI

In Poland - Warsaw

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded Working Student with Power BI to join our Knowledge Management team on a part-time basis. This role is particularly suited to someone who already has hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and would like to further develop their skills while taking responsibility for real reporting solutions used across an international organization.

You will support the maintenance and further development of our Knowledge Management reporting environment, including dashboards used to monitor project completion, knowledge contribution, compliance, and other key KM processes. You will work with Power BI reports, underlying datasets and data sources, troubleshoot reporting issues, and help us continuously improve the quality and usability of our dashboards.

As the role involves regular interaction with colleagues from different countries and seniority levels, fluent English is essential.

How you will create an impact:

• Maintain and further develop existing Power BI reports and dashboards used by the Knowledge Management team and other internal stakeholders.
• Understand existing Power BI data models and make controlled changes to reports, calculations, filters, measures and visualizations.
• Work with Power Query and DAX to maintain existing transformations, calculations and reporting logic.
• Monitor report and dataset refreshes, investigate errors and troubleshoot issues when data is missing, outdated or displayed incorrectly.
• Work with data originating from sources such as SharePoint lists and libraries, Excel files and other Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Maintain report documentation, including information on data sources, calculations, filters, refresh logic and report purpose.
• Collaborate closely with Knowledge Management colleagues to understand business requirements and translate them into practical reporting solutions.

Your profile:

• You are fluent in English and are comfortable communicating professionally in an international working environment.
• You already have practical experience working with Microsoft Power BI.
• You are comfortable working with existing Power BI reports and have a good understanding of how reports, datasets and data models work together.
• You have practical knowledge of Power Query and can understand and modify existing data-transformation steps.
• You have practical knowledge of DAX and can understand, troubleshoot and adjust existing measures and calculated columns.
• You understand basic principles of data modelling, relationships, filtering and data quality.
• You are comfortable investigating why a dashboard or calculation produces an unexpected result rather than only creating visualizations.
• Experience working with SharePoint lists, SharePoint document libraries, Excel or Microsoft 365 data sources is an advantage.
• You are currently completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in a field related to data analytics, business intelligence, information systems, business, economics or a comparable discipline.
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a clear solution-oriented mindset.
• You are willing to learn the business context behind the data rather than treating reporting as a purely technical exercise.

What we are specifically looking for

This position is intended to support an existing Power BI reporting environment. We are therefore looking for someone who can become productive with the current dashboards relatively quickly.

You do not need to be an advanced Power BI developer, but you should already be confident enough to open an existing report, understand its structure, trace data and calculations, make changes, troubleshoot common issues and take ownership of its maintenance and development.

Fluent English and practical Power BI experience are therefore essential for this position.
