Are you patient, empathetic, and fluent in English? We're looking for a Working Student to join our User Support Team - the first point of contact for the millions of travelers who rely on trivago every month. You'll work alongside our Agent Services and Support Operations functions, helping users find solutions and building trust in the trivago brand. You'll gain hands-on experience resolving real user issues, spotting bugs, and channeling feedback that shapes our product, all while learning from an experienced, international team. trivago is a place where ambition and support go hand in hand - we hold high standards and genuinely invest in each other's growth. Ready to build practical skills alongside your studies? Apply now!

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Provide timely and accurate support to user inquiries via email, using Zendesk and translation tools.
  • Respond to and manage user feedback on third-party review sites.
  • Help improve trivago's products by investigating and reporting bugs or issues raised by users.
  • Explore and understand issues faced by users, collaborating with stakeholders within and outside trivago to find solutions.
  • Gather, categorize, and channel user feedback to the relevant teams.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving our operations and processes.

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Excellent and fluent written and verbal communication skills in English (our company language), with the empathy to convey information clearly.
  • A passion for travel and user experience, with the ability to empathize and put yourself in the user's shoes.
  • Currently enrolled at a German university (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung required), living within a commutable distance of Düsseldorf.
  • Available to work around 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to commute to campus twice a week.
  • A genuine learning mindset — you approach challenges with curiosity, seek out feedback, and are keen to grow both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A performance mindset paired with an open, curious approach to AI tools and automation — you set ambitious goals for yourself and enjoy exploring how new technologies can make your work smarter and more efficient.

Stand out with:

  • CRM experience (i.e. Zendesk)
  • Any additional language skills
