Brief Role Description


In Software Verification at the Bochum site, you support test engineers in their wide range of tasks. The main focus of the role is on the setup, commissioning, and maintenance of test solutions as part of verification activities for a connectivity control unit, as well as on test execution and the corresponding analysis and evaluation.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Setup and commissioning of test setups
  • Analysis of circuit diagrams, derivation of the required wiring, and implementation thereof
  • Performing software updates on electronic control units (ECUs)
  • Reading out and archiving log files from test environments
  • Development of Python scripts to automate test environments
  • Execution of test activities, including corresponding documentation according to instructions

Qualification requirements

  • Technical degree program as well as interest and background in the field of software development
  • Hands-on technical skills, particularly in mechanics and electronics
  • Experience with the Python programming language
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, e.g. from hobby projects (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, home automation)
  • Confident use of the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Structured working style, curiosity, and openness to new topics
  • Strong communication skills and affinity for teamwork
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
