Safe Intelligence - this forms the core brand of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS Connected cognitive systems drive innovation in many sectors, including mobility, healthcare, and automation in industry. Disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing play a key role here. Be part of change

You will research tensor network methods for industrial applications and implement them in concrete software tools. Your specific tasks will include:

• Supporting literature research on current and state-of-the-art applications of tensor networks.
• Supporting the implementation of tensor network algorithms.
• Documenting and preparing the results in the form of a scientific publication or report.

What you contribute

• You are studying physics, computer science, or a similar subject
• Good programming skills in Python
• Knowledge of tensor networks
• Initial experience in combinatorial optimization and AI is an advantage
• High motivation, an independent working style, and critical thinking skills
• Very good written and spoken English
• German language skills are a plus
