Job Description

We - MT Aerospace - are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecrafts, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks

  • Conducting research on components and technologies for liquid hydrogen (LH₂)-based propulsion systems in aviation
  • Developing integration solutions for hydrogen systems into existing aircraft structures
  • Optimizing system architectures
  • Conducting life-cycle and cost analyses for hydrogen applications in aviation
  • Assessing the hydrogen economy in the airport environment

Your Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in sustainable aviation technologies and hydrogen-based propulsion systems
  • Basic knowledge of system development, system architecture, or aircraft engineering is a plus
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
