Job Description

As a Working Student in our dynamic Green Products team, you will play a vital role in Hapag-Lloyd's Ship Green product, which is at the forefront of our efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Ship Green is a comprehensive solution, owned and developed by our team, that aims to minimize the environmental impact of ocean transport. Your work will directly contribute to our sustainability strategy and help us achieve our decarbonization goals.

  • Assist in product enhancements and new business initiatives, from initial market analysis to pilot implementation
  • Prepare and manage quarterly Ship Green Declarations, ensuring accurate reconciliation and exception handling
  • Own and develop recurring reports, as well as ad-hoc analyses, to support commercial and management decision-making
  • Maintain and update documentation for Ship Green frame contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sustainability and decarbonization
  • Conduct volume, fee, and market analyses to inform pricing strategies and product reviews
  • Collaborate with regional Ship Green Ambassadors to enable global sales and performance steering
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across various departments, including Sustainability, Global Sales, and Product Marketing
  • Ensure accurate and traceable documentation for our external assurance processes and provide support and contribute to team initiatives as needed
  • Currently enrolled in fulltime Bachelors or Masters program in a relevant field of study, such as Business Administration, Economics, Sustainability or Data Science
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, organized approach to work, as well as a reliable, self-motivated and precise work ethic, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English, with business-level proficiency
  • Prior experience in a similar role or involvement in sustainability projects is preferred
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive environmental impact
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic work environment, as well as a willingness to learn and stay updated on industry developments and best practices
