Brief Role Description

The Cloud Development department IH-IDC is developing the "Bronson" design system in the Digital & Mobility division. This includes UI components for several Volkswagen Financial Services brands in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, along with extensive documentation. In addition, we develop Bronson-React which is an adapter library for React. The UI components are used by a wide variety of projects worldwide to create digital products. Special attention is paid to the accessibility of the UI components according to WCAG 2.2 standards (minimum level AA).

We are looking for support in the maintenance and further development of our cloud infrastructure used for Bronson and the continuous integration (CI) pipelines.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Analysis and further development of the existing AWS infrastructure
  • Ongoing monitoring of AWS infrastructure security and compliance
  • Analysis and further development of existing continuous integration pipelines
  • Monitoring of AWS infrastructure in Datadog and, if necessary, further development of Datadog dashboards
  • Technical adjustments to infrastructure and continuous integration processes
  • Mutual code reviews for continuous improvement of code quality (infrastructure as code)
  • Independent recognition of potential for improvement and identification of options for action

Qualification requirements

  • You are a student (m/f/d) with a u niversity degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with agile working methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Several years of experience with the languages Javascript, Typescript, YAML, Make and Bash
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Software, ideally Concourse CI
  • Several years of experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit
  • Without Git versioning, you won't start a project and you won't run away screaming from a merge conflict
  • Experience in dealing with Datadog and building your own dashboards in it
