
The ZEOS Logistics department is responsible for all partner-facing Zalando Logistics Solutions. Within the Merchant Performance team, our objective is to build operational stability for major strategic accounts, guide merchants toward becoming self-sufficient partners, and optimize overall logistics performance.
As a Working Student on our team, you will have a highly focused, manageable mission supporting the team in driving operational excellence. Rather than following a rigid routine, your specific responsibilities will be tailored when you join, depending on our immediate strategic priorities and your unique strengths. You will dive deep into data, help build smart analytical tools, and assist in setting up scalable processes across our core pillars—whether that involves optimizing stock management, automating reporting for our top-tier accounts, or creating assets for strategic merchant conversations.
Data Deep-Dives & Extraction: Run targeted analyses on core operational metrics (such as inventory availability, inbound performance, and MCF SLAs) to identify system friction points, patterns, and logistical bottlenecks.
Tool Creation & Reporting Automation: Design and build practical, user-friendly templates or tracking dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets. These tools will automate manual workflows and provide the team with data-driven insights for strategic conversations with merchants.
Top-Tier Account Support: Assist the team with operational account management for our highest-priority merchants by helping to map out, structure, and improve the day-to-day processes used to manage these accounts.
Documentation & Handovers: Draft clear, step-by-step operational playbooks and guidelines. This documentation will capture your deep-dive methodologies and tool configurations, allowing for a seamless handover to support teams or other internal stakeholders.
Current Student: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Spreadsheet Savvy & Tech-Minded: You possess strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and are comfortable manipulating datasets, automating basic tasks, and building clean tracking tools.
Analytical & Adaptable Mindset: You enjoy digging into data to uncover the root causes of complex operational problems and enjoy translating ambiguous challenges into structured solutions.
Clear Process Documentation: You have a highly organized way of working and can write clear, concise documentation that makes complex data workflows easy for other teams to follow.
Language: Professional fluency in English is required.
