Job Description

mobile.de is Germany’s largest vehicle marketplace, with more than 1.6 million listed cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and e-bikes (annual average 2025). Both private customers and registered vehicle dealers use the platform and benefit from more than 140 million visits per month*.

As a “one-stop shop,” mobile.de’s offering includes not only buying and selling, but also financing and leasing solutions. Founded in 1996, the company is a subsidiary of Adevinta, a global leader in online classified portals.

Based in Berlin-Charlottenburg, we offer a dynamic environment where growth, learning, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. If you are driven by an eagerness to disrupt, have a passion for collaboration, and are excited about shaping the future of mobility, we would love to hear from you

To support our Legal team at our location in Charlottenburg, Berlin, we are looking for you as a Working Student (d/f/m) - Compliance & Legal Support.

About the team

Working closely with the General Counsel and the Legal and Data Privacy teams, our Compliance function makes sure we do business with integrity and in line with laws, regulations and internal standards.

As a member of the team, you will gain hands-on insight into how an in-house compliance function works and help strengthen our integrity and compliance culture across the organisation. You will support both day-to-day compliance matters and the further development of our Compliance Management System.

What We're Looking For

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (at a German university) in Law, Business Law, Legal Management, Compliance or a comparable field
  • You have a genuine interest in compliance, ethics and integrity topics, as well as in business processes and the way a digital platform operates
  • You have first practical experience in a legal department or law firm — particularly in Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, Risk Management or a related area
  • You're comfortable working with legal tech and AI-assisted legal tools, including legal prompting with large language models
  • You have a high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • You are well organised, detail-oriented and solution-focused
  • You are proactive, reliable and structured, and can manage several tasks and deadlines in parallel
  • You are confident with MS Office or Google Workspace, especially presentations and spreadsheets
  • You have excellent communication skills in German and English (min. C1, written and spoken)
  • You are available 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods

It would be a plus if you have

  • An interest in developing and improving an effective compliance management system
  • Experience creating training content, e-learnings or internal communication materials
  • Experience with dashboards or data analysis
  • Experience working in a technology company, start-up or international environment

What you'll do

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Research legal and compliance questions independently and turn your findings into short, practical decision papers
  • Support internal departments with compliance processes and inquiries, and document their outcome
  • Help draft and update compliance policies, process descriptions, work instructions and documentation
  • Support the planning, delivery and further development of training and awareness measures, including evaluating KPIs and training completion rates
  • Create presentations, updates and targeted communication materials, and help maintain the Integrity & Compliance intranet presence
  • Support compliance risk assessments and help prepare compliance audits
  • Build risk overviews, dashboards and reports
  • Contribute to projects, keep compliance documentation and project tracking organised and up to date
  • Support with translations (German/English), particularly of legal and compliance content
