We take end-to-end responsibility for strategy, processes, and infrastructure in the field of Data Analytics - from Business Intelligence to Big Data - increasingly relying on modern AI technologies to drive data-driven innovation more intelligently, quickly and sustainably.

We are currently at an exciting turning point: After successfully migrating existing databases, we are now building the scalable data platform of the future. To achieve this, we are redesigning central components and processes and need reinforcements for the DIA Platform team! We are looking for a Working Student in Data Engineering to support us in implementing new technologies.

What you do

• Contribute to a strategic, group-wide initiative in a cross-functional team using agile project management methods
• Support the design and implementation of database features and cloud components
• Independently develop and test new features, actively shaping our data platform
• Apply modern cloud technologies in the analytics environment and gain insights into building and operating a scalable data platform
• Contribute to the design and development of GenAI features (e.g., RAG-based bots)

What you bring

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering or a comparable field of study
• Strong knowledge of SQL as well as initial experience with modern databases and cloud environments (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
• Ideally, programming skills in Python or Java, as well as experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes
• Enthusiasm for data-driven innovation and interest in actively shaping modern data platforms
• Strong analytical skills, a structured and independent way of working and strong team spirit
• Excellent written and spoken English, German is a plus
