Job Summary:

The Working Capital Manger is a pivotal role in the gategourmet Scandinavia SSC Serbia Finance Team, responsible for the day-to-day management and review of the operational and financial performance of SSC Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Treasury functions.

The role acts as a hands-on supervisor and takes an active part in the team, he/she will drive internal and external communication with stakeholders to understand key business processes and manage operational working capital (WC) challenges.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, support and coaching to the AR and AP team members ensuring efficient processes, up-to-date tools and high-quality results
  • Financial analysis of opportunities for WC optimization, within the context of commercial and operational requirements of the business
  • Report to key stakeholders (e.g. Snr Finance, Commercial, Procurement / leadership team)
  • Day-to-day AR responsibilities include:
  • Supervision of the Accounts Receivable Assistants to ensure accurate and timely completion of customer billing, payment allocation and other AR team tasks
  • Work closely with the AR Assistants and Sales Account teams to identify any collection issues and work with customers to resolve
  • Develop and improve credit control processes and procedures
  • Day-to-day AP responsibilities include:
  • Supervision of Accounts Payable Assistants to ensure all tasks are completed on time and in line with company policy; assisting with the processing of Supplier invoices (COS & OPEX) for Denmark, Sweden & Norway
  • Ensuring the processing, netting off and payment of Inter-company invoices on a timely basis, in line with group timetable and guidelines
  • Ensuring that supplier invoices are coded accurately and consistently to the correct nominal, profit/cost center and vat codes
  • Ensuring the timely and correct allocation of payments to relevant supplier invoices/accounts
  • Processing of payment runs, both one off and routine monthly runs
  • Assisting with the requirements of both internal and external audit
  • Day-to-day Treasury responsibilities include:
  • Managing AR and AP intercompany positions (leveraging the Group netting system)
  • Timely funds planning and cash allocation
  • Monthly input to cash forecast
  • Provision of timely and accurate KPI & Dashboard reports to Management – AP & AR
  • Responsible for internal controls of the AP & AR Functions
  • Provide support to the broader team on AP, AR, Treasury and other WC related topics for closings and audits
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the AP & AR SSC Functions
  • Ensuring the proper filing and archiving of AP & AR records in line with company and statutory guidelines
  • Ensuring the maintenance and update of AP & AR teams task lists and process notes to facilitate continuity of work

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors and Masters in Finance or related; or similar by experience

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in managing AP & AR functions in similar sized organizations
  • Sufficient Team Management experience

Technical Skills:

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, required; Power BI is a plus
  • Experience with SAP FI is an advantage
  • Strong international business acumen
  • Practical background in Finance environment of an international, large size company desired
  • Knowledge of cash management principles required

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) is a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization required

Other skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate others required
  • High level of organization and ability to work under pressure is a must
  • Proven project and client management skills preferred
