As a nationwide NDIS provider, we deliver person-centred services including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and tailored disability support. Our approach is grounded in mindfulness, self-care, and community wellness.

About the Role

The Workforce Scheduling & Wellbeing Lead is a key role, responsible for the end‑to‑end coordination of workforce scheduling. Also accountable for creating new master rosters across Community‑based and Supported Independent Living services. This role provides leadership and day‑to‑day oversight of our casual workforce.

Rosters are developed, monitored, and adjusted in line with SCHADS Award requirements to ensure compliance with employment conditions and operational needs. Regular reviews support appropriate staffing levels, employee wellbeing, and effective service delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Developing, managing, and publishing accurate rosters using ShiftCare
  • Creating person-centred rosters that balance participant needs, workforce availability, travel, and mitigate overtime.
  • Managing leave, availability, incidents, or service requests.
  • Ensuring all rostering practices comply with the SCHADS Award, Fair Work requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Supporting onboarding, availability management, and integration of new team members into rosters.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for workforce-related matters including attendance, performance, and wellbeing.
  • Conducting regular wellbeing check-ins with team members, families and participants to support engagement, retention, and shift fulfilment.
  • Monitoring shift compliance and escalating concerns relating to safety, conduct, or performance.
  • Liaising with participants, carers, internal and external stakeholders to confirm availability and communicate changes to services.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of shift notes, timesheets, and service delivery in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and compliance reporting.
  • Monitor rosters to ensure appropriate breaks, contracted hours, and award conditions are met.
  • Participate in the after hours on-call rotation to manage urgent rostering issues, workforce escalations, and service continuity.

About You

At the heart of this role is a genuine commitment to being person-centred, honest, transparent, caring, and respectful in every interaction. You are highly organised, remain calm under pressure, and are dedicated to supporting our community, while fostering positive outcomes for the workforce that supports them.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in creating master rosters within Supported Independent Living & Community Services.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in ShiftCare and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating workforce scheduling across a workforce of 150+ team members.
  • Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award and workforce compliance requirements.
