We’re
looking for an experienced resource manager & workforce planner to take
end-to-end ownership of our workforce system, to shape how we plan, deploy, and
grow our workforce to ensure continuous, reliable service delivery to our
patients.
It’s about
getting the right number of people with the right skills in the right place at
the right time, to serve our patients and deliver Pathlab’s short and long-term
objectives.
The key part of this role will have responsibility for the overall success of the daily, weekly, monthly roster management to plan business requirements with employee availability to minimise any impact to clients / customers. This role will enable sustainable
organisational performance through better decision-making about the future
people needs of the business. It’s
not just about numbers. It is also about skills, potential and how these are
deployed and organised
To be based in either our Hamilton or Tauranga offices, this is a
high visibility role with direct impact on service continuity, blending
planning, decision-making and recruitment leadership.
Key focus
areas
This role will embrace and embed a proactive workforce environment. Ensuring
rosters are sustainable, risks are identified early, and depth of capability is
available to manage normal daily fluctuations. An experienced and strategic approach to managing leave and normal expectations
for workforce attendance, availability, and reliability.
You’ll use
workforce data to identify trends and improve decision-making, while
confidently making calls where trade-offs are required. This role suits someone
who is equally comfortable thinking ahead and stepping into the detail when it
counts.
About you
You bring a
mix of strategic thinking and operational credibility, with experience in
workforce planning and operations. You’re analytical, decisive, and comfortable
working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
You will
need demonstrable experience in resource management and understand the drivers
that impact service continuity and customer experience.
The drive
and ability to use data to manage supply and demand for roster planning that is
reliable and proactive to reduce the risk relative to reactive resource
allocation.
Understand that
technology may impact manual processes as we evolve and how to support people
with different ways of working.
