Workforce Planner – Aged & Disability Services

Full-Time | Based in Sydney

About JewishCare

JewishCare is a leading not-for-profit social services organisation providing high-quality support across aged care, disability, mental health, family and wellbeing services. Guided by our values of Mishpocha (Family), Chessed (Compassion), Professionalism, Integrity and Inclusivity, we deliver person-centred care that supports independence, dignity and connection.

This role is for people who love making complex rosters actually work

If you get genuine satisfaction from turning chaos into structure, enjoy problem-solving and forward planning, and take pride in keeping services running smoothly, while understanding that behind every roster is a real person relying on care, then this role is for you.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a reactive “fill-the-gap” rostering role.

You’ll sit at the centre of service delivery, working closely with Care Partners, Team Leaders and Support Workers to proactively plan, optimise workforce capacity and protect continuity of care across Support at Home and NDIS programs. Your work directly impacts client outcomes, staff wellbeing and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective scheduling of support workers and other service providers to meet the required services under the Support at Home and NDIS programs.
  • Ensure that client services are delivered as planned, and workforce capacity is optimized.
  • Ensures all rostering activities comply with funding requirements, the SCHADS award and other industrial instruments, and organisational policies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely rosters across multiple service streams
  • Match staff skills, qualifications and availability to client needs
  • Manage roster changes, unplanned leave and cancellations to minimise disruption
  • Forward plan rosters to maximise internal workforce utilisation
  • Maintain accurate data within the Client Management System and rostering platform
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients and stakeholders regarding service requirements
  • Support payroll and invoicing processes through accurate timesheet and service data
  • Ensure all rostering practices meet compliance and quality standards
  • Provide cross-functional support during periods of high demand or staff leave

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in rostering, scheduling or workforce coordination (aged care, disability or community services preferred)
  • Understanding of Support at Home and NDIS service models
  • Knowledge of SCHADS Award compliance and rostering requirements
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with rostering systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving ability
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, person-centred approach

Desirable

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services or similar
  • Experience working within culturally diverse communities
  • Understanding of Jewish values, culture and heritage

Why Work With Us?

  • Make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable community members
  • Supportive, inclusive and values-driven team environment
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • Salary packaging options available
