Move forward as a Workforce Planner at DSV in Venlo

As a Workforce Planner, you ensure that our logistics operation runs smoothly with both internal colleagues and temporary agency staff. Our logistics services depend on flawless planning for your DSV colleagues and the many agency workers within our warehouses. You’re on it.

How do you do this? As a planning specialist for our operational workforce, both permanent employees and the flexible workforce, you keep our operation running. A role with a lot of responsibility and freedom. You get the job done, and we rely on you! From forklift drivers to warehouse operatives, you are the go-to person for deploying our blue-collar workforce. Based on forecasts and ad-hoc challenges, you perfectly align staffing needs with both staffing agencies and internal colleagues. You achieve this by:

• gathering and analyzing staffing requirements from operations, creating a plan based on competencies and availability using our workforce management system. Our temporary staffing partners then supplement your plan;
• analyzing planning results and conducting scenario planning. Based on this, you advise warehouse managers and supervisors;
• analyzing KPI reports from our temporary staffing partners and addressing gaps in the planning or structural shortages;
• initiating improvement proposals based on national discussions with your fellow resource planners.

Your team stands out within DSV for its attention to detail. You are the eyes and ears of the operation when it comes to staffing levels. You act as the spider in the web between our operations and staffing partners, supported by the strong collaboration within your team.

You bring

• experience in a similar role, for example as a staff planner, recruiter, or account specialist at a temp agency is a plus;
• preferably, you have gained some experience in logistics. However, we value passion and eagerness to learn far more for this role;
• assertiveness, you keep searching until you find the solution;
• attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
• command of both Dutch and English.
