The Workforce Clinical Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal partners to identify key workforce needs and opportunities that will impact the growth and success of the organization. They will also work with external business partners at local and regional K-12 schools, career tech/vocational programs, colleges and universities to educate students on healthcare careers and highlight existing employment opportunities at Genesis. The Workforce Clinical Consultant will be a liaison between clinical students, departments, and schools. Additionally, they will contribute to the development of workforce programs, policies, goals, and student materials. This position will require some travel to schools, career fairs, and meetings as well as non-traditional work hours at times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Formulates, implements, and communicates short and long-term Workforce Development program strategies, objectives, policies, programs, and goals.
2. Identifies internal and external resources and relationships and leverages to accomplish established workforce development goals.
3. Serves as a resource and collaborative partner with departmental leaders in forecasting staffing needs and establishing methods for staying ahead of demands.
4. Communicates workforce objectives and direction in a clear and complete manner.
5. Creates an intentional check in process with clinical students and establishes effective procedures to track, audit, monitor and evaluate outcomes/results of initiatives, programs, etc.
6. Effectively develops productive working relationships with external partners within the local and regional schools including junior high and high schools, vocational programs, technical schools, and universities.
7. Partners with Human Resources and Marketing to develop effective recruitment programs including job fairs, social media programming, etc.
8. Participates in meetings and committees within Genesis where workforce challenges, initiatives, and opportunities are being discussed.
9. Maintains knowledge of discipline-specific trends and influences on candidate selection.
10. Always maintains highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in the State of Ohio.
2. Minimum Associate's degree in nursing.
3. Two (2) years of hospital experience as an RN required.
4. Knowledge of health care system careers, employment, and workforce development.
5. Demonstrated success in recruiting and retention strategies.
6. Understands issues core to the growth/success of the organization and applies this knowledge to the scope of workforce development practices and strategies.
7. Strong communication skills with a skill in developing strong and productive partnerships with internal and external partners.
8. Ability to work collaboratively across a widely diverse group of leaders and healthcare disciplines.
9. Effective computer skills using Microsoft Office, reporting and tracking functions.
