We're looking for a commercially minded Workers Compensation Underwriter to join our growing underwriting team. In this market-facing role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of new and existing business, partnering closely with brokers to deliver sustainable growth while helping customers access the protection and support they need.

This is an opportunity to build trusted relationships, exercise underwriting judgement and contribute to the success of a specialised line of business. You'll be empowered to make decisions, identify opportunities and play a meaningful role as Zurich continues its transformation towards becoming Australia's leading digital insurer.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Managing a portfolio of new and renewal Workers Compensation business within delegated authority
• Building and strengthening relationships across an allocated broker panel
• Assessing risk and making sound underwriting decisions aligned to business objectives
• Identifying opportunities to grow and retain profitable business
• Delivering exceptional service outcomes for brokers and customers
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve portfolio and customer outcomes

You are a proactive and relationship-focused professional who enjoys taking ownership and influencing outcomes. You balance commercial thinking with customer focus, build credibility through sound judgement and thrive in a collaborative environment where continuous learning and improvement are valued.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Experience underwriting Workers Compensation or a comparable commercial insurance product
• Demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and manage risk within delegated authority
• Strong broker relationship management or customer-facing experience
• Sound commercial acumen and confident decision-making capability
• Well-developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
