Material Handlers are responsible for managing the company's warehouse operations. They move, handle, and store raw materials, keeping track of inventory levels and recording orders. Their main role is to ensure that the company's raw materials are stored safely and securely until they are requested by the production team. Material Handlers are often required to load of finished goods, unload supplies and packages from different locations, including storage areas. This job involves a lot of physical activity, and Material Handlers are expected to be on their feet for extended periods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
  • Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
  • Understand allergens and label them accordingly.
  • Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
  • Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular PIT checklists.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.
  • Working with handheld-driven operations to pick outbound orders.

Education and

Experience:

  • Certification in forklift operation
  • Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
  • Data entry, math, and computer skills
  • Effective leadership and team management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods
  • Be knowledgeable of safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures in your department.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual a plus- English/Spanish

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work within temperature-controlled environments (Heat/Cold)
  • Walk on slippery wet surfaces.

  • Handling (holding, grasping).
  • Seeing/depth perception.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-70 pounds.
  • Push/pull 500 lbs.
  • Walk/stand 100% of shift.

  • This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
