SALARY RANGE
$17.00 Per Hour
The primary function of the OPS Custodial Worker is to perform work maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, disinfection, and safety of the facility. The incumbent must be able to document clearly and ensure that documentation is completed as required.
The Work You Will Do
Ensure the housing area is clean, disinfected, and sanitized. This includes but not limited to, scrubbing floors, cleaning blinds, baseboards, applying finishing products to floor, washing walls, windows, windowsills, sinks, showers, and commodes. Also includes but not limited to, vacuuming, shampooing carpets and rugs, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and wiping off tables, furniture, sinks, ceiling fans, air vents etc. Areas include but not limited to, bedrooms, bathrooms, dayrooms, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, linen room, storage rooms and offices on the house on a daily basis. Assist in making beds as needed. Remove trash and dirty trash liners at the beginning and end of each shift. Assist with other areas and houses as requested by supervisor.
Assist in maintaining adequate supplies and dispensing of these supplies on an as needed basis. Maintain custodial closet in an orderly fashion and in compliance with state and federal standards.
Keep the immediate outside area around the house free of trash.
Notify supervisor of any work orders that need to be submitted immediately. Complete required documents (supply requisition, etc.) as necessary. Notify supervisor and/or management immediately of any areas of concern.
Completes all required training. Maintain Sunland’s current crisis management prevention and intervention certification as required.
Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure.
Perform other related duties as required.
This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035 and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of:Safety measures for using and storing cleaning supplies.
Ability to:To perform basic housekeeping duties.

Direct Deposit Program
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
Background Screening Requirement
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

Pursuant to S. 110.1127(1), Florida Statutes, this position requires a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
