Workday SCM Architect Location: Kondapur, Hyderabad work Mode: Work from Office(No Hybrid, No Work from Home) work Timings: 5:30pm - 2:30am IST ( Eastern Time zone) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday SCM Architect to lead the design, architecture, implementation, and optimization of Workday Supply Chain Management solutions. The Architect will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and business leadership to design scalable and efficient solutions across Procurement, Supplier Management, Inventory, Expenses, and related Workday Financials processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Workday SCM experience, deep knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and integrated enterprise architecture. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design Lead the overall Workday SCM solution architecture, including Procurement, Supplier Management, Inventory, Supplier Accounts, and related Financials processes. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday functional and technical solutions. Define end-to-end business process architecture across Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, and Accounts Payable. Establish Workday configuration standards, design principles, security considerations, and governance. Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate supply chain processes within Workday. Evaluate the impact of Workday releases and recommend architectural or configuration changes. Workday SCM Configuration Provide expert-level guidance on configuration of: Workday Procurement Supplier Management Supplier Accounts Inventory Expenses Business Processes and Approval Workflows Design complex approval workflows, condition rules, validations, and business process configurations. Define supplier onboarding, supplier qualification, purchasing, receiving, and invoice-related processes. Design security roles and domain/business process security in alignment with organizational requirements. Integrations & Enterprise Architecture Lead the design and integration of Workday SCM with third-party applications, ERP systems, suppliers, banks, procurement platforms, and other enterprise systems. Collaborate with integration teams on Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and other integration technologies. Define integration requirements, data flows, interface specifications, error handling, and reconciliation processes. Review integration architecture and ensure data consistency between Workday and external systems. Troubleshoot complex integration and data issues and provide architectural recommendations. Implementation & Delivery Lead or provide architecture oversight for end-to-end Workday SCM implementations. Participate in discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support. Provide technical and functional leadership during SIT, UAT, parallel testing, cutover, and go-live activities. Review solution designs and configuration developed by functional consultants. Support Workday release management, regression testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Business & Stakeholder Management Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and executive stakeholders to understand business objectives and define appropriate Workday solutions. Conduct architecture workshops, process-mapping sessions, and solution demonstrations. Present solution options, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks to business and technical leadership. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor Workday SCM consultants and analysts. Governance, Compliance & Optimization Ensure Workday SCM solutions comply with procurement policies, internal controls, security requirements, and audit standards. Design appropriate controls around supplier creation, purchasing, approvals, receiving, and financial transactions. Identify process gaps and recommend automation and optimization opportunities. Establish documentation and architecture standards for Workday SCM solutions. Requirements 8+ years of experience in Workday, ERP, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related enterprise applications, with significant hands-on Workday SCM experience. Strong expertise in Workday Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Deep understanding of: Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Supplier Management Supplier Lifecycle Purchasing Receiving Inventory Management Supplier Accounts Expense Management Accounts Payable Strong experience designing and configuring Workday Business Processes and approval workflows. Experience with Workday security, including domain and business process security. Experience leading at least one or more full lifecycle Workday implementations. Strong understanding of Workday integration architecture. Experience working with EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, APIs, REST/SOAP, and third-party integrations. Strong knowledge of Workday reporting and data architecture. Ability to lead solution design discussions and translate business requirements into technical/functional architecture. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Workday SCM and/or Financials certification. Experience with Workday Financials, particularly GL, AP, and Accounting, for cross-functional process alignment. Experience integrating Workday with external ERP, procurement, supplier, inventory, or financial systems. Experience with global Workday implementations involving multiple entities, currencies, countries, and regulatory requirements. Experience with Workday Extend or other Workday platform capabilities. Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and data analysis. Experience in Workday optimization, post-production transformation, and large-scale enhancement programs. Prior experience working directly with enterprise clients and executive stakeholders.
