Workday Record to Report (R2R) Lead Consultant

Level: Mid/Senior Consultant

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Dec.31, 2026

Hours: Full-time 40/hrs /week

Location: Remote within Canada - EST working hours

Languages: English

Rate: $100-140/hr

We are seeking a Workday Certified R2R (Record to Report) Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Workday Financials to support end-to-end implementation, optimization, and support of financial accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in R2R processes such as general ledger, financial reporting, journal entries, allocations, and period close, and will partner closely with business stakeholders to drive financial transformation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Workday Financials R2R Expertise

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Record to Report processes Configure and optimize core accounting functions, including: General Ledger Journal entries and adjustments Allocations and consolidations Period-end close and financial reporting.

Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead or support end-to-end Workday implementations, including requirements, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and design solutions aligned with business and accounting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of Workday Financials solutions.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Lead workshops and working sessions to align on financial processes and system design.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices and process improvements.

Data, Reporting & Integration

  • Support data conversion and migration from legacy systems into Workday.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and financial analytics to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with integration teams for mapping and testing system integrations.

Testing, Training & Support

  • Support system testing, UAT, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer Resolve production issues and provide ongoing support.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Workday Prism, Accounting Center, or Adaptive Planning Exposure to integration frameworks and data migration tools.
  • Experience in large-scale finance transformation programs Additional certifications in Workday Financials modules.
