We are seeking aWorkday HRIS Analystto join our team and take the lead in configuring,maintaining, andoptimizingWorkday Canadian Payroll plus supporting one or more modules based on business needs
This is an exciting opportunity for ananalytical, detail-oriented professional who can translate payroll and business requirements into effective system solutions, partner with cross-functional teams, and help strengthen payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee experience.

WhatYou’llDo:

As a Workday HRIS Analyst,  your key responsibilities will include:

  • Workday Configuration & Optimization Independently design, configure, andmaintainWorkday Canadian Payroll and other related modules, ensuring data accuracy,compliance. collective agreement requirements, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration Partner withPayroll, HR, businessstakeholders, Centers of Excellence, and other Workday Module Leads to document requirements, assess feasibility,validatedesign options, coordinate testing, and gather feedback.

  • Testing & Enhancements Develop and execute test plans,identifysystem enhancement opportunities, and recommend optimizations.

  • Support & Training

    • Provide Tier 2 support forpayroll cycles, troubleshooting calculation/configurationissues,auditingand documenting root cause and prevention steps.

    • Prepare and deliver training materials, guides, and documentation for Payroll & other processes.

  • Compliance & Best Practices Stay updated on Workday industry standards and ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and reporting needs.

  • Data Accuracy Perform regular audits and corrections tomaintainthe integrity of Workday data.

  • Release Reviews MonitorWorkday releases and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.

  • Backlog Management Own the intake, assessment, prioritization, and delivery of Workday Payroll enhancements, break-fixes, and operational issues, collaborating with stakeholders to balance business needs and system capacity.

WhatWe’reLooking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Abachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Information Systems , Business Administration , or a related field.

  • 3+years ofdemonstrablehands-on experience  configuring Workday Canadian Payroll in a multi-unionized environment with complex rules.

  • Strong verbaland written communication skills , with the ability to clearly explain technical details.

  • Provenanalyticaland problem-solving skills  with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficiencyin Workday configuration  and Microsoft Office tools  such as Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience withconfiguration ofWorkdayBenefits, Time Tracking,CompensationoranotherWorkday module is an asset.

  • Project Management experience  and familiarity with company acquisitions are considered assets.

  • Experience in complex unionized environments with multiple collective agreements.

  • Workday certifications  in Payroll, HCM and/or other Workday modules preferred.

  • A Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation is considered an asset.

  • Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English)areconsidered assets.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial payroll legislation and regulatory requirements, including applicable Canada Revenue Agency andRevenuQuébec requirements, is considered an asset.

Pay Range:

61,221 - 68,873 CAD

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
