About this Position

The Workday Analyst will provide technical, analytical, and systems maintenance support for HCM (Human Capital Management), including Compensation, Talent, Recruiting and Payroll. The position investigates, analyzes, recommends and executes alternatives for business process flow, test plans, user documentation and training. The Workday Analyst provides support to employees for manager self-service and employee self-service. Act as the technical support and training expert to the HR staff in understanding business process flow, and entering transactions into Workday. Audits data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity.

This is a hybrid role requiring possibly 2-3 days in office weekly.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

System Administration

  • Maintain ongoing configuration needs of the HCM Workday system including organizations, templates, notifications, help text and business processes.
  • Research, document and evaluate new functionality during bi-annual Workday releases and discuss with HR team to determine impact and interest.
  • Monitor testing by functional leads during Workday releases. May assist functional leads with test plan development.
  • Communicate to internal customers regarding Workday features and functionality.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of worker data.
  • Maintains and distributes documents via Workday either ad hoc or through existing business processes.


Support and Troubleshoot System Issues

  • Serves as Tier 1 Support to employee population and HR staff. Work with IT resources to resolve Tier 2 escalation.
  • Research and respond to user inquiries regarding processes or reports not performing as expected.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business processes and completing various self-service tasks.
  • Approve various self service business processes as assigned
  • Follow up with users that have aged business processes in their inbox for completion.


User and Compliance Report Requests

  • Develop advanced custom reports within Workday HCM.
  • Provide audit, reporting and analytics as requested.
  • Respond to various regulatory bodies with requests for worker data, such as EEO1 reporting and Dept of Labor.
  • Collaborate with HR and system users to ensure there are effective reporting, dashboards and data analytics to meet the business needs
  • Provide reporting and analysis for key HR initiatives and ongoing data needs such as turnover, diversity, and other HR metrics.


Development of New and Enhanced Functionality

  • Work with HR team to determine priorities for Workday enhancements, either through newly released functionality or HR strategic initiatives requiring implementation and/or enhancement of existing functionality.
  • Project manage Workday projects to ensure timelines are met and implementation is successful and error-free.
  • Make configuration changes required for new functionality and work with IT support to implement more complicated or difficult processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years previous Workday experience required
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines under tight time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision‐making skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills
