Workday Technical Resource

Required Skills

Workday Integrations – Design, build, and maintain integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio)

Workday Reporting – Create and modify custom reports, calculated fields, and report delivery

Develop complex integrations using Workday Studio IDE

BIRT Report Layout in Workday Studio

Preferred Skills

Build and configure business processes

Design advanced formatted reports using BIRT PECI (Payroll Interface)

Configure and troubleshoot payroll integrations

Workday Orchestrate

Develop custom applications on the Extend platform

Workday Extend development exeperience

Experience Level

Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration and technical development, with proven ability to deliver integration and reporting solutions

Workday Functional Resource

Core Domain Expertise

  • HCM, Recruiting, Time and Absence, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Talent
  • Configuration and business process knowledge across these functional areas
  • Security domain knowledge, including configuration of security groups and access controls

Document Management

  • Create and maintain documents within Onboarding, Offboarding, and Offer business processes
  • Configure custom text blocks to support dynamic document content
  • Manage and troubleshoot Workday Drive document integration

Technical Configuration Skills

  • Calculated Fields – Build and configure complex calculations
  • Condition Rules – Create business logic and conditional workflows
  • Questionnaires – Design and configure questionnaires for use across various business processes
  • Custom Objects – Create and maintain custom data structures
  • Business Process Configuration – Design, build, and enhance workflows across HCM and related modules

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build custom reports from scratch to meet business requirements
  • Enhance and maintain existing reports as business needs evolve
  • Strong understanding of functional areas and underlying data relationships to support accurate, effective reporting

Experience Level

Candidates should have hands-on, proven experience configuring and supporting Workday across multiple functional domains (HCM, Recruiting, Time and Absence, Compensation/Advanced Compensation, and Talent), with demonstrated ability to independently design business processes, build calculated fields and custom objects, and deliver reporting solutions. Experience working in a contractor/consulting capacity supporting enterprise Workday tenants is preferred.
