
We’re looking for a seasoned Workday Expense Module Specialist to take ownership of configuration, optimization, and support of the Workday Expense module. This role blends technical expertise with strategic problem-solving, helping to streamline global finance operations and ensure Workday delivers maximum value across the organization.
Contract: 5 months / possibility to extend
Location: Remote
Rate: $68-74/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the SME for Workday Expenses, managing configuration, EIBs, integrations, and day-to-day support.
Lead the design, testing, and deployment of Workday Finance Expense solutions using best practices.
Partner with business stakeholders and COEs to gather requirements, resolve challenges, and drive process improvements.
Manage Workday configurations, including business processes, security, and data flows
Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support domestic and international finance operations.
Support Workday upgrades, testing, and adoption of new features and functionality.
Deliver hands-on training and expand Workday knowledge across cross-functional teams.
Drive automation and process optimization through enhanced workflows and reporting
Create and maintain clear, end-to-end business requirements while providing functional design leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of hands-on Workday Expenses experience with strong proficiency in Workday HCM.
Expertise in Expense Configuration, Security Administration, Business Process Configuration, and EIBs
Skilled in Workday testing (regression, UAT, pre-launch) and release cycle evaluation.
Experience with Workday Studio, Workday Extend, and custom integrations
Strong background in building and optimizing custom reports and dashboards
Ability to balance day-to-day system support with longer-term enhancement projects.
Strong project management skills with proven experience leading Workday feature deployments.
Familiarity with Agile tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across global teams in fast-paced environments.
