Job Description

St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Workday Change Manager. The Change Manager leads and coordinates organizational change activities supporting the Workday implementation. The role focuses on preparing faculty, staff, leaders, and other impacted stakeholders for changes to business processes, roles, responsibilities, and ways of working resulting from Workday. Working closely with the Project Manager, functional and technical leads, Training Lead, Communications & Marketing, and the implementation partner, the Change Manager develops and executes a coordinated change approach that supports awareness, engagement, readiness, adoption, and transition to the new system. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $92,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of change management experience, including experience supporting ERP, HCM, financial system, or Workday-related implementations.
  • Experience supporting changes affecting multiple functional areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, and/or Student administration.
  • Ability to translate complex system and process changes into clear, practical messages for nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication, and relationship-management skills, including experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder, change-impact, and organizational-readiness assessments.
  • Ability to work effectively with executives, project leadership, functional teams, technical teams, communications professionals, and implementation partners.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple change activities against an integrated project schedule.
  • Experience in higher education strongly preferred; direct Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, and/or Student implementation experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with established change-management approaches such as ADKAR/Prosci is preferred; practical application is more important than adherence to a particular methodology.
