We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Workday Architectto play a key role in the ongoing evolution of our global HR technology ecosystem. This role requires a strong background in Payroll systems and related processes, while also supporting broader HRIT initiatives across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday expertise, a passion for and experience in AI and automation, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage deep expertise in Workday application architecture and emerging AI technologies to design and implement innovative, scalable solutions that optimize business processes and enhance user experience.
  • Lead the configuration, optimization, and support of Payroll systems, while also contributing to other Workday modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence
  • Act as a Workday subject matter expert, especially in Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits, supporting full-cycle development, configuration, and deployment.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and automation to streamline HR operations, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct data analysis, rationalization, and cleanup to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data across systems.
  • Prepare and maintain HRIT process flows, procedures, and job aids to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, COEs, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration, data integrity, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor service delivery queues, respond to inquiries, and proactively troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Lead and support system upgrades, testing cycles, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Enable and build effective Workday dashboards and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX regulations, and support internal and external audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in HRIT or HR technology roles, with at least 5 years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules, including Payroll Workday certification (e.g., Payroll, HCM, or Integration) is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience implementing or supporting AI-driven or automated solutions within HR or Payroll environments.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll processes, compliance requirements, and third-party vendor integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
