Job Description

Responsible for general mission, auxiliary, or unit support activities. Provides routine direct and indirect operational services to the Laboratory. Some roles perform specialized technical tasks required to support the mission of the laboratory (e.g., IT development and research support). Develop and coordinate with various departments for scheduling and executing planned and emergency outages. .

Provide advanced coordination and scheduling expertise in support of Site Operations in resolving very broad to abstract technical issues due to equipment failure, equipment upgrade, or new component installation that could have division and/or site wide implications. Specific support provided will differ according to assignment, but will generally include directing, planning, and development of a task level work schedule.

  • Advanced communication skills used to lead a team.
  • Understands the role of the function and how it fits into meeting the goals of the directorate.

  • Initiates improvements for the function.
  • Assesses circumstances using experience and a variety of information gathered. Schedule the human resources, tools, and equipment for completing scheduled work activities
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management about schedule compliance and outage status.
  • Identify and address issues and delays affecting scheduled work task.
  • Work closely with field crews during schedule develop and work execution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft products and the SRNL CMMS (Asset Suite)
  • Proficient typing schedules, good communication skills, problem-solving, understanding of maintenance planning principles.
  • Complies with all policies and standards. Maintain appropriate level government security clearance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent+ 4 yrs of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA/AS or vocation degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
  • 2-5 years of Electrical and/or Mechanical Maintenance experience or relatable experience.
