JOB TITLE:
Library Aide - Coe Library Help Desk, University Libraries
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
This position is located in Coe Library on Level 2. The Help Desk provides customer service to the entire campus community and the city of Laramie.
Job location: Coe Library
Pay rate or range: Staring rate $12.00/hour. Pay raise to $12.35/hour after successful completion of first semester of employment.
JOB PURPOSE:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer service at a busy Help Desk, check library materials in and out, explain policies and procedures, assist customers in locating print and electronic resources, answer informational and directional questions, pull materials from the stacks, and perform basic office duties.
Coe Library is open a significant number of hours each week and successful candidates must be able to work a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts between 7:00 AM and Midnight (12:00 AM). This position begins fall semester and continues throughout the calendar year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education High School Diploma/GED
Experience Customer service experience and/or the desire to positively interact with a diverse customer base
Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

Develop customer service experience and campus experience applicable to all majors.

WORK LOCATION:
On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
