Learning Objectives: Objective 1: Professional Communication and Ethical ConductStudents will develop professional communication skills by interacting with staff and instructors. This objective will help students better communicate with a variety of backgrounds. Objective 2: Foundational Lab SkillsThe students will gain hands-on experience in physics lab equipment set-up and maintenance. This includes following lab prep materials to find and put out equipment for different labs. This objective will teach the student how to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and contribute to the smooth operation of instructors labs, which are essential skills for any professional environment.
Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;maintain satisfactory academic progress;adhere to College’s confidentiality policy;successfully pass background/drug screening;maintain open lab time as scheduled;help maintain the facilities;other general maintenance requirements;work with specialized equipment including chemicals;preference given to currently enrolled students in major;familiarity with Microsoft Office;ability to work with minimal instruction;other duties as assigned.
