Workers Compensation Claims Administrator

Location: Winnemucca, NV (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Assignment Type: Contract

Rotation Options: 3 Weeks On / 1 Week Off or 6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Administrator to support a large-scale lithium mining and construction project in Winnemucca, Nevada. This position will oversee all aspects of the project's workers' compensation program while supporting additional insured claims activities.

This is a unique opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile project where housing, meals, transportation, and other living expenses are covered during your assignment rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and oversee the project's workers' compensation claims program.
  • Manage claims from initial reporting through resolution.
  • Investigate and document eligibility for workers' compensation benefits.
  • Communicate with injured employees, medical providers, insurers, attorneys, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor claim activity and identify trends that could impact project performance.
  • Conduct claim reviews, audits, and reporting activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs with employees, supervisors, and medical providers.
  • Assist with litigation support and discovery requests.
  • Support the administration of auto and other insured claims as needed.
  • Develop and maintain claims procedures and training materials.
  • Provide workers' compensation guidance and training to project personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant workers' compensation or claims experience.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, claims handling procedures, and occupational rehabilitation.
  • Experience handling workers' compensation claims in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments.
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements and workplace injury management.
  • Experience with claims investigations, documentation, and resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) experience.
  • Experience supporting large construction, mining, industrial, or energy projects.
  • Familiarity with RMIS platforms.
  • Experience coordinating return-to-work and fitness-for-duty programs.
  • Knowledge of bodily injury and property damage claims.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Winnemucca, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.58 - $47.58/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
