Woodyard Loader Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday - 10:00pm to 6:00am (OT possible)

Salary: $18.00-$20.00/hour + $1.00/hr. shift differential, and up to an additional $2.86/hr. from our Monthly Bonus Incentive Program! ***Monthly Bonus Incentive KPI Metrics Include: Safety, Attendance, Production and Downtime***

Position Summary:

The Woodyard Loader Operator supports plant production by receiving, inspecting, mixing, and loading raw materials according to established quality and production specifications. This position operates and maintains loader equipment while helping ensure the proper blend, species, and moisture content of materials used in the production process.

Job Duties:

  • Receive incoming loads of raw materials and separate materials by species.
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Notify plant leadership of quality concerns, defects, or other material issues.
  • Mix raw materials according to specifications to achieve the proper blend and moisture content for upcoming production needs.
  • Load the infeed bin according to the production schedule and material requirements.
  • Complete required loader inspections and report any equipment concerns.
  • Perform routine loader cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Monitor material levels and workflow to help maintain continuous production.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and plant leadership regarding material needs, equipment status, and workflow.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and equipment-operating requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of loader-operating experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong hand-eye-foot coordination.
  • Ability to remain focused for extended periods and manage multiple priorities.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently climb stairs and safely enter and exit loader equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in or around confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment that may include dust, noise, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
