West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Williams Lake Plywood is currently recruiting for a Woods Assistant - 3-month temporary position.

Reporting to the Divisional Accountant, this role is on our Finance team.

You'll do:

• Enter accounts payable into Oracle Financials
• Ensure invoices and cheque requests are properly supported and approved
• Review account coding and correct any miscoding
• Ensure the accuracy of sales tax (GST and PST) and identify and calculate self-assessments where required
• Match invoices to approval batches
• Process contractor pay batches
• Support to the team in additional administrative duties as needed

You have:

• Post-secondary training in administration or accounting, or 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in Oracle accounts payable is an asset
• High degree of accuracy with numbers and strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills
• A self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow

What We Offer:

• Competitive base salary. The typical salary range for this position is $52,500-$62,000, which may vary depending on education and relevant experience.
