Job Description

The Woodlands Division offers an exciting opportunity for forestry professionals to lead and grow within our organization. As a woodlands leader, you will play a vital role in our world-class forestry practices, ensuring efficient and safe operations. These roles provide a platform for successive advancement and professional development, allowing you to take your career to new heights.

Although responsibilities will vary my role, some common responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate leadership in production, motivating a team of employees and/or contractors.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, budgeting, and planning, meeting organizational goals.
  • Maintain high safety standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage and influence others with 5+ years of management experience.
  • Present to senior leaders, negotiate, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Drive performance and objectives with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Lead change and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in forestry.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Forestry, Business, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of management experience with a proven track record of influencing others.
  • Strong safety leadership skills and a solid understanding of business principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Agile mindset to navigate and lead change.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for forestry operations.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
