Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced, solutions-focused Senior Production Manager who thrives on turning bold creative ideas into exceptional real-world experiences. Working closely with producers, the Head of Production and teams across the agency, you will be at the centre of a varied portfolio of live work, shaping how each experience is planned, built and delivered.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can see both the big picture and the smallest production detail. You will bring calm leadership, technical confidence and commercial awareness, helping teams and partners deliver work that is imaginative, achievable and finished to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Production leadership

• Lead production planning from early feasibility and pitch development through to build, live delivery and de-rig.
• Translate creative concepts and client briefs into clear, achievable production strategies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including schedules, load-in plans, crew briefs, RAMS and logistics summaries.
• Initiate and lead production meetings so internal teams, suppliers and partners remain aligned and informed.
• Oversee test builds for larger or more complex projects, resolving issues before they reach site.

Technical and spatial delivery

• Lead the development and review of floor plans and spatial layouts, assessing feasibility, guest flow and operational requirements.
• Check and approve plans before client presentation, ensuring creative ambition is grounded in robust technical thinking.
• Advise teams on venue access, rigging limits, fire safety, build methodology, materials and production technologies.
• Identify smart technical and digital solutions that add value to the experience and strengthen delivery.

Suppliers, venues and on-site delivery

• Brief, appoint and manage third-party suppliers and subcontractors, with clear deliverables, timelines and quality expectations.
• Build trusted relationships across the production supply chain, continually seeking new and specialist partners.
• Act as the lead production contact for venues, coordinating access, logistics and operational planning.
• Be present on live projects from set-up through show delivery and de-rig, providing calm, decisive leadership on site.
• Drive quality control across scenic, technical and specialist production partners.

Safety, collaboration and communication

• Own production health and safety, including RAMS, and ensure venue, supplier and internal protocols are upheld.
• Partner closely with project, creative and technical leads so every production decision supports the client brief and creative vision.
• Provide clear project status updates to the Head of Production, escalating risks early and bringing practical solutions.
• Contribute production expertise during pitches, helping shape compelling, credible and deliverable responses.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below experience:

• Proven experience at Senior Production Manager level or above within an experiential or events agency.
• Experience delivering live events internationally and adapting to different venues, partners and production environments.
• Excellent knowledge of production technologies, materials, scenic construction, build techniques and delivery methods.
• Strong spatial and technical literacy, including CAD or Vectorworks.
• Confidence managing suppliers, budgets, negotiation and competing priorities.
• A positive, open and persistent communication style, with the ability to bring teams together around a shared goal.
• A calm, solutions-oriented approach and the judgement to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
