What is the role?
Our Women’s 1st team are seeking a new Goalkeeper and Set Piece Coach to contribute to a progressive learning environment, which positively impacts goalkeeper development and potential to achieve on and off the pitch as well as to deliver against the Set Piece Strategy on defending and attacking set pieces.
What will you be doing?
You will support the review, development and implementation of a comprehensive coaching curriculum for goalkeepers. This will include the delivery of goalkeeper-specific sessions to prepare the goalkeepers holistically and with a game-specific focus. You will also deliver defending and attacking set pieces during training sessions, in line with the set piece strategy.
Completing player review administration in accordance with the timelines agreed with the Head Coach, you will identify strengths, areas of development and support requirements for identified goalkeepers. You will use this knowledge to contribute to 1st team technical meetings, providing feedback and recommendations in accordance with your area of expertise which will include team selection, specifically to support in-game set pieces.
You will support the Head Coach and technical staff with match-day observations and provide analytical feedback to goalkeepers before matches, during half-time and post-game, utilizing match and training footage where appropriate. You will deliver goalkeeper-specific review meetings and ensure all review notes and meeting details are completed and submitted to the Head Coach within the dedicated timeline.
You will play an active role within the multi-disciplinary team, sharing knowledge, experience, and best practice, particularly with the Professional Game Academy Goalkeeper Coach to build a supportive and collaborative relationship.
