This position headquarters is negotiable between Greenwood, Laurens and Abbeville Health Department.

Under the direction of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Administrative Services Coordinator, provides direction and supervision to administrative support staff. Collaborates with all disciplines and administration to assure effectiveness and efficiency in provision of services in a culturally competent and customer friendly environment.

* Supervises and instructs WIC team members assuring clients information is entered into the SC-WIC system per program guidelines. Maintains audits, training records and Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) for individual staff. Provides and documents feedback and appraisals.

* Provides culturally competent customer service while greeting and conducting interviews to public health clients in accordance with the WIC program and agency policies and prodecedures. Answers telephones and schedule appointments as necessary. Processes information, completes medical records and enters all client information into applicable electronic applications or SC-WIC system as mandated. Ensures that staff complies with program and agency guidelines for issuance of e-WIC cards in the SC-WIC system and Farmer's Market coupons.

* Follow established guidelines around customer service and cultural competency, ensuring staff adheres to WIC Program customer service complaint procedures as outlined or directed by the region and state plan.

* Attends relevant program and agency training and meetings. Ensure necessary materials and resources are available for Administrative staffs. Prepares and submits required reports and mandated or requested.

* Complete other duties as assigned related to the position.

Examples of duties

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: High School diploma/GED & two (2) years clerical office experience; or an Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or related field & one (1) year clerical office experience. Experience providing administrative support/customer service in an office environment.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the SCDPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate

Qualifications

One (1) year experience providing WIC administrative support.
