Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $18.50 to 20.40+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e., food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
You will be one of the first points of contact for our “guests” and should have a cheerful, helpful attitude with every interaction and present yourself as a resource for all other employees. The Employee Experience Specialist should set the example of how an employee of Copper Mountain should conduct themselves and be the example for our grooming and appearance standards. The right person for this position will also be professional with excellent guest service skills, a self-starter who initiates projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with varying tasks at any time. You must be able to perform a variety of administrative duties, assist with uniform distribution and laundering, as well as support the employee housing team. This front-line position allows you to develop strong working relationships with management and other front-line employees at the resort, creating opportunity to further grow leadership skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Runs all daily closing reports and internal/external mail in a timely and appropriate manner according to our standard operating procedure.

Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information (ie. wage data, medical information, personnel files, EEO information)

Employee Experience/HR:
Processes onboarding tasks fully for employees/volunteers, including I-9 forms, W-4s, Employee Handbook and policy acknowledgments in Workday, and background check authorizations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete before issuing an employee ID/pass.
Monitors the Workday task inbox, processes sensitive tasks, and recognizes when issues fall outside the scope of the role.
Verifies I-9 forms through E-Verify in compliance with applicable federal requirements and U.S. Department of Justice guidelines.
Assists with questions regarding pay and other sensitive information
Employee Housing:
Assists with employees moving into housing and provides an overview of what to expect.
Supports residents with inquiries and issues that may arise
Is trained in Rent Manager and provides support to the employee housing team
Gear Up (Uniform Store):
Responsible for laundering & distributing uniforms to employees and volunteers
Receives & inventories uniforms and retail items
Able to float between Gear Up and HR front desk throughout any given day
Recruitment:
Informs applicants about job duties, responsibilities, salary, and benefits. Also relays company policies, promotional opportunities, and other pertinent information
Screens job applicants who meet the qualifications to keep the company optimally staffed.
Approving and monitoring job posting requests and job descriptions in a timely manner and in accordance with Copper Mountain’s Wage and Salary Plan. Coordinates the communication of these external and internal opportunities.
Management of applications could also involve screening interviews, pre-employment testing, reference checking and background checking.
Assists with creative aspects of advertising campaign and procedures and monitors all recruiting costs.

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Be accountable for daily station open/closing: Runs closing reports – including taking the time to resolve any over/short closing issues and providing any necessary back-up for daily transactions
Must be able to speak clearly and have adequate hearing ability for phone conversations in a noisy environment
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
Bachelor or Associates Degree in HR-related field preferred
1-2 years office/clerical experience, preferably within a payroll and/or HR environment
Knowledge of Workday, RTP & Microsoft Office
Bilingual Skills advantageous.
Previous customer service experience
Computer Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry
