HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Report to work fit and ready to work on time daily as scheduled.Checks schedule daily to learnofanychanges necessarytoaccommodateunplannedbusinessconditions.

  • Produce highqualityofcleanlinessinassignedwork area.

  • Sanitize and clean public and employee restrooms, back of the house areas and food andbeverage outlets.

  • Accordingto periodicmaintenance schedule,buffsfloors,shampoos,andextractcarpets.

  • Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, cleaning of wood, glass, pictures, doors, tables, chairs,slotmachines andcarpets.

  • Clean restrooms, vacuum assigned areas, clean deli tables as needed, remove trash, clean sledchairs,cleanallareas aroundslotmachines, clean ashtraysandurns.

  • Usesequipmentandsuppliesproperly.

  • Cleanandmaintainequipment.

  • Reportmaintenanceconcerns tosupervisor.

  • Thoroughly cleanwindowsasdirectedbySupervisor/Manager.

  • Ensure that outside areas are free from trash, and all outside ash urns and receptacles areempty.

  • Follow andadheretoHighDust scheduleset.

  • Followsallrules andregulationsaccordingto pre-setstandards.

  • Followsallsafetyandlost andfoundproceduresandguidelines forenergyconservation.
  • Followsestablishedkeyandchemicalprocedures.

  • Complete any special projects assigned, even if not part of the regular job description,particularly if it affectssafetyofanyindividual and/orguest service.

  • Reports to manager, supervisor, and Security Officer any incidents involving illness or injury toself or others, and any accidents or onset of illness incidents witnessed involving guests or otherteammembers.

  • Responsibletomaintainconfidentialityofallmatterregardingguest,teammembersandthebusiness operations
  • Requiredto cooperate withCompanyofficialsduringaninvestigation.

  • Follows proper procedures for lost and found of personal items, found money or gaming tokens.(ContactSecurityOfficer).

  • Reportanyunusualorsuspicious activitiestosupervisor.

  • Communicates with coordinator, supervisor, or Department Head regarding any and all needsaffectingworkperformance,completionofduties,attendanceandguestservice.

  • Read, understand, and practice all policies and procedures as outlined in the Team MemberHandbook.Asks for assistance if unable to read or understand any items contained in thehandbook.Takes appropriate action to report any policy violations or problems as outline thehandbook,tothesupervisor/manager.
  • As directed, properly uses time keeping equipment and systems to record all time worked.Adheres to posted schedule and as adjusted by the manager, relating to work hours, breaks, andduty scheduleorstation/dutyassignments.

  • Adhere to alldepartment andcompanypoliciesandprocedures.

  • Make suggestions to appropriate supervisor/manager regarding any suggestions for improvingguestservice,department,or jobefficiency.

  • Reports to Manager any items requiring maintenance or repair.Pays particular attention tosafety related matters and reports such items immediately.If dangerous, take precautions toprevent injury until help arrives to respond to the situation.(Example:An open, raised carpetseamin abusywalkway inwhichsomeonemightcatchhis/herfoot andfall)

  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities anddifferencesbetweenwordsandbetweenseriesofnumbers.Abilitytoprint andspeaksimplesentences.
  • Highschooldiplomaorgeneral educationdegree(GED);oroneto three months’relatedexperience and/ortraining;or equivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bargraphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oralinstructions.Abilitytodealwithproblemsinvolvingafewconcretevariablesinstandardizedsituations.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to continuously push/pull or lift up to 5 pounds and frequently bends, reaches above shoulder and push/pull or lift up to 6 -25 pounds.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and talk or hear, on rare occasions climb, stoop, kneel or crawl and work in difficult positions. Frequently standing or walking with rare sitting. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold/heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration while occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.
  • Ascend and descend stairs/ ladders, maintain equilibrium, and work from a standing position and/or walking motion for an extended period.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth and distance perception, to perceive sizes, shapes, temperatures, textures, or odors and ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.
  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment and for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events while enthusiastically supporting, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures that behavior and appearance comply with established standards.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a non-gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, and a valid Indiana Driver’s license. Will require access to all general and back-of-house areas of the Racing and Gaming facilities.

  • Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment and noise level in the working environment is usually loud.
