Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Window Treatment Installer and Service Technician to join our growing team. This role involves installing a variety of custom window treatments—such as blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorized systems—in both residential and commercial environments, as well as maintaining an in-house and mobile service center for blind and shade repairs. You will play a critical role in delivering a high-end, seamless experience for our clients from measurement to final walkthrough.

Window Treatment Installer Responsibilities


  • Project a professional appearance always.

  • Address client concerns or complaints in a professional manner.

  • Communicate project status and any issues with installation or repairs to the Window Treatment Department Manager in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate closely with Design Consultants and other teams via text, photographs, and email about project details.

  • Maintain an organized schedule and arrive punctually at all appointments.

  • Submit completed job documentation before the end of each workday.

  • Maintain the service department workroom and the mobile service van in a well-organized and clean manner.

  • Track and label incoming freight; keep the receiving area in the warehouse orderly.

  • Use a variety of electronic devices to manage electronic files for installation, ordering, and communications. Files include measuring and service forms, and photographic and video documentation of windows and final installations.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and company events.

  • Engage in ongoing learning of new industry products and technology.

  • Interpret work orders, conduct precise on-site measurements, verify product specifications, carry out installations, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure the successful first-time installation of window coverings (e.g., shades, blinds, shutters, drapery).

  • Install and program motorized systems, including solar-charged products.

  • Demonstrate product functionality and proper use post-installation

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record from the RMV.

  • Must be comfortable driving a cargo van or a box truck.

  • Fundamental computer skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must understand the urgency and importance of following up.

  • Knowledge of window treatment measuring, installing and repair strongly preferred.
