The Window Installer Helper supports lead installers in the installation of impact windows and related products by preparing job sites, handling materials, and assisting with hands-on installation tasks. This is an entry-level, field-based role focused on learning the trade, following safety and quality standards, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The Window Installer Helper plays a vital role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to Storm Smart’s quality expectations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn a skilled trade while working as part of a collaborative installation team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist Lead Installers with the installation of impact windows, doors, and related products.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Prepare job sites by setting up tools, protecting customer property, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Support removal of existing windows and preparation of openings according to specifications.
- Hold, position, and secure materials during installation under direction of Lead Installer.
- Mix, apply, and clean up sealants, fasteners, and installation materials.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and Storm Smart policies at all times.
- Maintain job site cleanliness throughout the project and complete final clean-up at job completion.
- Communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers, representing Storm Smart professionally at all times.
- Report material shortages, damages, or safety concerns to the Lead Installer or Supervisor immediately.
- Accurately use timekeeping, job documentation, and photo capture tools as required.
- Participate in training and cross-training to develop installation skills and product knowledge.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior construction, labor, or installation experience a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, meeting company insurance requirements.
