Job Description

Our client is a major manufacturer of wind turbines and other green energy solutions.

They are searching for multiple experienced Wind Turbine (WTG) Site Engineers to support the installation, commissioning, and execution of wind energy projects in Southeast Asia and beyond.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers, construction teams, technicians, contractors, and client representatives to ensure wind turbine systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to specs. The ideal candidate will possess strong on-site engineering experience within wind energy or heavy industrial projects, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Please note that this role requires significant travel and a willingness to work in remote project sites. It is not necessarily based in the city of this posting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Supervise and coordinate on-site activities related to wind turbine installation, erection, mechanical assembly, and commissioning.
• 
  Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• 
  Support turbine erection activities including tower, nacelle, hub, and blade installation.
• 
  Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation activities across multiple contractors and subcontractors.
• 
  Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting throughout project execution.
• 
  Review technical documentation, method statements, and installation procedures prior to execution.
• 
  Identify and resolve technical or operational issues that arise during installation and commissioning activities.
• 
  Support testing, energization, and commissioning of wind turbine systems.
• 
  Monitor project schedules and escalate delays, risks, or resource constraints when necessary.
• 
  Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and site HSE standards.
• 
  Maintain accurate site documentation including inspection records, punch lists, and daily reports.
• 
  Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve installation efficiency, quality, and operational performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 - 8 years of experience in wind turbine, renewable energy, construction, and/or heavy industrial project environments.
• 
  Hands-on experience supporting wind turbine installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• 
  Deep understanding of wind turbine systems including mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
• 
  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
• 
  Familiarity with crane operations, lifting activities, and turbine erection processes.
• 
  Solid grasp of HSE standards and safe working practices within industrial or construction environments.
• 
  Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and cross-functional site teams.
• 
  Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites or rotational schedules when required.
• Fluency in local language, and decent working proficiency in English is REQUIRED. Other languages will be a bonus.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
