They are seeking a cautious and detail-oriented Wind Turbine (WTG) QHSE Manager with a strong track record of supporting renewable energy projects, especially for wind or solar. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, engineering teams, and operational leadership to ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across all project activities. The ideal candidate will possess ample experience managing QHSE systems within renewables, construction, and/or industrial project environments and is capable of driving an airtight safety and quality culture across the organization and contractors.

  • Monitor compliance with HSE regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards throughout project execution.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for safety incidents, quality issues, and non-conformances.

  • Promote a strong safety culture through training programs, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with all QHSE requirements and site safety procedures.

  • Support project teams in permit-to-work systems, hazard identification, emergency response planning, and safe work practices.

  • Monitor and report QHSE KPIs including incident rates, audit findings, corrective actions, and quality performance metrics.

  • Support project commissioning and operational readiness activities from a QHSE perspective.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to inspections, audits, incidents, and compliance activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 7 - 10 years of QHSE experience in construction and energy projects, with 2 recent years in renewable energy (wind or solar preferred).

  • Solid understanding of HSE regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.

  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
  • Professional certifications required: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent; ISO 9001/14001/45001 auditor certifications are also an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international standards and frameworks including IFC Performance Standards and ILO guidelines.

  • Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems, working at height, lifting operations, electrical safety, and construction safety practices.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites or rotational schedules when required.
  • Fluency in local language, and decent working proficiency in English is REQUIRED. Other languages will be a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health & safety, or a related field.
